Job summary

DMG Media seeks an experienced Data Architect to define and govern data architecture across a hybrid estate including AWS, GCP, hosted data centres, and on-prem systems. You will enforce standards, engage in TDA governance, and ensure designs are documented before build ends.

You will lead data platform design for lakehouse patterns and AI/ML pipelines, collaborating with engineering, product, and editorial teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and governing data architectures across cloud, hosted data centre, and on-prem environments.
• Hands-on with AWS and/or GCP data services and multi-cloud patterns.
• Ability to map current-state data flows and define optimized target-state designs.
• Experience defining enterprise data standards and participating in governance forums (TDA/ARB).
• Experience with AI/ML data infrastructure and feature stores.

Responsibilities

• Map current-state data flows across cloud, hosted, and on-prem systems and design target-state patterns.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards and governance across projects.
• Engage in projects early to ensure architecture-reviewed designs before build.
• Design data architectures across a hybrid estate and ensure cross-environment coherence.
• Lead cloud platform design for scalable lakehouse patterns and AI/ML pipelines.
