Job summary

Experian in the UK is seeking a Principal Data Architect to act as the technical authority for data architecture across the UK Consumer business. This is a senior, hands‑on role blending deep technical expertise with strategic influence.

You will shape the target‑state architecture across cloud platforms and data products, lead data modelling and governance, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable solutions that unlock business value.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering enterprise data architecture within large organisations.
• Proven senior architect experience leading multiple teams and domains.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake) and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Own current‑state and target‑state architecture for the enterprise data ecosystem.
• Define end‑to‑end architecture for data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics and data products.
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure architectural solutions.
• Establish architecture principles, standards and governance frameworks for engineering teams.
• Lead data modelling, data governance and lifecycle management.
