Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a hybrid role anchored in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead data collection, modeling, and insights generation to guide strategic decisions across the organization.

You will build dashboards, perform advanced analytics, and present findings to stakeholders, driving data-driven improvements and operational efficiency. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or BI.
• Strong SQL querying and data manipulation skills.
• Expertise with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) is essential.
• Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and modeling.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience handling large datasets and databases.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, CS, or related field.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from various sources to prepare them for analysis.
• Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical techniques and tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and business metrics.
• Build predictive models and forecasts to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the analytical process.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in data collection and analysis.
• Stay current with industry best practices in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
• Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the team's capabilities.
