Job summary

AEGIS London is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to partner with underwriting, claims and exposure management teams. You will build analytics into day-to-day decision-making, lead governance of BI assets and mentor analysts in SQL, DAX and data modelling.

You will apply new techniques, including AI tooling within analytics workflows, and contribute to the team’s maturity with robust version control and release processes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data analytics or BI roles, ideally in insurance/finance.
• Advanced SQL with data stack tooling and data modelling.
• Expertise in Power BI including data modelling, DAX, and deployment pipelines.
• Proven peer review, QA, and governance practices in BI projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior analytics business partner to underwriting classes to improve pricing and exposure management.
• Translate business questions into scoped analyses and dashboards.
• Collaborate across teams to automate and accelerate analytics workflows, including AI tooling.
• Lead governance for BI assets, source control, and deployment practices.
• Deliver end-to-end analytics workstreams from scoping to post-implementation review.
