Job summary

Grant Thornton International Ltd in Belfast seeks a Data & AI Consultant at Senior Consultant to Manager level. You will deliver client-facing engagements across analytics, BI, data engineering, governance and automation, in industries such as financial services, public sector and healthcare.

The role is hybrid with opportunities to lead small teams, mentor juniors and contribute to new Data & AI propositions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a data-related field such as Data Science, CS, Engineering, Math or Economics.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one of Python or R.
• 2–8 years of experience in data, analytics, BI, engineering, data science, AI, automation or governance.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical content to non-technical audiences.
• Interest in client-facing consulting and ability to translate business requirements into data outputs.
• Sector experience in financial services, public sector, healthcare or life sciences is useful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand client problems and translate them into data, analytics, BI, engineering, governance or automation outputs.
• Build dashboards, data pipelines, models, governance artefacts or automation solutions by track.
• Profile, validate and improve quality of client data.
• Prepare client-ready deliverables, documentation and handover materials.
• Run client workshops and working sessions.
• Manage assigned tasks or workstreams and flag risks and issues.
• Lead small teams or workstreams and review junior outputs (Assistant Manager/Manager level).
