Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Senior or Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer to join our Dams, Reservoirs & Hydraulic Structures team within the D&AT Practice. You will work on high-profile UK projects across reservoir safety, water resources and dam engineering, shaping technical directions and delivering integrated solutions.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in office/site, based in multiple UK offices, and opportunities to influence major decisions, lead

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and Chartered Engineer status or willingness to pursue within 12 months.
Experience with earth/ concrete dams, hydraulic structures and related works.

Responsibilities

Provide technical input into reservoir and hydraulic structures projects and manage time/budgets to plan requirements.
Coordinate or manage a team of engineers for design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
Produce and check technical deliverables such as studies, calculations and drawings.
Build relationships with clients and provide trusted technical advice.
Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow the team's capabilities.
Work independently with minimal guidance and exercise judgment on difficult problems.
Support bids and proposals with technical input.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas.
