Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Risk Manager to drive identification, assessment and mitigation of cyber risks across the agency’s digital infrastructure.

You will develop risk management strategies, ensure compliance with government standards, and communicate with senior stakeholders. This permanent role supports flexible working to protect sensitive data and ensure resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management and threat intelligence.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Familiarity with HMG Security Policy Framework, NCSC CAF, and NIST.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber risk assessments and threat assessments.
• Advise risk owners to remedy identified risks with proportional security controls.
• Ensure compliance with information legislation, SPF, and NCSC standards.
• Lead incident response as directed by Head of Cyber Assurance.
