Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Risk Manager to identify and mitigate cyber-related risks within its digital infrastructure. You will develop risk strategies, ensure compliance with government security standards, and collaborate with departments to protect data and systems.

The role requires deep knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, strong communication with stakeholders, and leadership of a team including incident response.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading diverse teams and incident response.
• Experience ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify, understand and mitigate cyber-related risks, advise risk owners.
• Ensure compliance with information legislation and DVSA policy (HMG SPF, NCSC Standards).
• Lead risk assessments, threat assessments, and risk management activities.
• Provide tailored advice to remediate identified risks using published guidance and standards.
• Lead incident response as directed by the Head of Cyber Assurance.
