Job summary

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency seeks a Lead Cyber Security Risk Manager to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the agency’s digital infrastructure. You will develop risk management strategies and ensure compliance with government security standards, collaborating with departments to protect sensitive data and systems.

You will communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, guiding risk-based decisions and supporting governance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cyber risk management in large organisations.
• Knowledge of government security standards and frameworks (NCSC CAF/NIST).
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify, understand and mitigate cyber risks and advise risk owners.
• Ensure compliance with information legislation and policy frameworks (HMG Security Policy Framework, NCSC standards).
• Lead risk assessments and threat assessments and other risk management activities.
• Provide tailored advice on security controls and risk treatment.
• Ensure DVSA compliance with Security Policy Framework and NCSC/NIST.
