Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Risk Manager to lead efforts to identify, assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the agency's digital infrastructure. You will develop risk management strategies, ensure alignment with government security standards, and work with multiple departments to protect sensitive data and systems.

The successful candidate will command deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment methodologies and threat management, and will communicate

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management and threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate cyber risks across DVSA systems.
• Lead risk-based decision making with risk owners and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Security Policy Framework, NCSC standards and CAF/NIST where applicable.
• Provide guidance to staff to deliver objectives with integrity and transparency.
• Lead incident response in coordination with the Head of Cyber Assurance and SOC alerts.
