Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead the operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of security technologies. You will reduce organisational risk, oversee vulnerability management, and drive security-by-design practices across a large hybrid enterprise.

The role is office-first hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote, and involves being a security SME on IT and business projects, security reviews, and ongoing assurance activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Experience with security controls across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK frameworks and threat modelling.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own cyber toolsets lifecycle and input strategic investments for security defenses.
• Define and maintain security standards for technical controls.
• Lead cyber security SME in IT and business projects; ensure security requirements are defined and implemented.
• Manage Vulnerability and Exposure Management across Gatwick systems.
• Provide governance and oversight for remediation activities to reduce risk.
