Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead security controls, vulnerability management and assurance across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. The role requires strong expertise in network monitoring, threat modelling, and security architecture.

The position is office-first hybrid with three days in the office and two days remote. A competitive package includes a base salary from £62,673, a £4,750 flex allowance, and discretionary bonus up to 20% plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred for senior level.
• Relevant information security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience across security tooling, cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own cyber toolsets, configuration and lifecycle management.
• Define and maintain security standards for technical controls.
• Lead cyber security SME across IT and business projects.
• Manage vulnerability and exposure management across Gatwick systems.
• Provide governance of remediation activities and risk reduction.
• Support Cyber Technical Assurance programme including security reviews and testing.
• Assist risk assessments and threat modelling sessions.
• Oversee penetration testing programme and remediation.
• Provide security oversight for AI/Generative AI technologies.
