Social Network Security Role

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location: Glasgow Hybrid - 2 Days a Week in the Office

We are seeking a security professional responsible for implementing, developing, and executing security operations to protect users, infrastructure, and data from threats. The role involves monitoring networks and systems, detecting security threats, analysing alarms, and reporting on threats and intrusion attempts. Ideally, we are looking for candidates available to start within a month.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Stay updated with the latest security and technology developments.
  2. Research and evaluate emerging cyber security threats.
  3. Plan and create contingency plans for disaster recovery.
  4. Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual activities.
  5. Test and evaluate security products.
  6. Design and upgrade security systems.
  7. Use advanced analytics to identify threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
  8. Liaise with stakeholders on cybersecurity issues.
Skills and Experience:
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and standards such as ISO 27001/22301.
  • Experience with network and application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, anti-virus solutions, and security tools.
