Job summary

The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA UK, is seeking a Senior Sterile Services Technician to ensure the timely, safe and efficient provision of sterile instruments, trays and supplies to theatres and departments. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of processing, infection prevention and patient safety in a busy CSSD environment.

As a senior member, you will guide colleagues, promote best practice, manage day-to-day operations and participate in audits, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in sterile services, ideally in a senior role.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control in patient care and devices.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS).
• Experience in staff mentoring, inductions and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of washing, inspection, packing and sterilisation areas.
• Lead shift teams, mentor technicians and conduct inductions.
• Investigate NCRs and implement corrective actions.
• Complete hand-overs and respond to staff and clinical queries.
• Escalate issues when necessary and ensure equipment QC checks.
