Job summary

Welbeck is seeking an Instrument Coordinator & CSSD Technician on a bank basis to support theatres with instrument decontamination, sterilisation, tracking and preparation.

You will work in a busy clinical environment, require at least 1 year CSSD/theatre experience, current BLS, and strong infection control knowledge, with attention to detail and ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's CSSD or theatre experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of sterilisation and infection control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to patient safety and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilise surgical instruments.
• Operate CSSD equipment and complete quality assurance checks.
• Maintain instrument tracking, inventory and documentation.
• Manage stock levels and support instrument loan processes.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilisation standards.
• Work closely with theatre teams to ensure instruments are available and procedure-ready.
• Identify and elevate equipment or instrument issues promptly.
