Job summary

GH Engage is seeking a Senior Critical Electrical Engineer to lead technical decisions for mission-critical infrastructure in Hemel Hempstead. You will steer live operations, resilience planning and governance across HV/LV distribution, UPS, standby power, switchgear and protection systems.

Data centre or high‑pressure industry experience is preferred; data centre know‑how is beneficial but not essential. On-site with strong collaboration across sites and teams.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering experience in critical/high-pressure environments.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and UK electrical requirements.
• Experience with UPS, generators, transformers and distribution.
• Ability to carry out electrical load and capacity calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across critical electrical infrastructure.
• Support HV/LV switching and Safe Systems of Work.
• Input during critical incidents and electrical failures.
• Carry out capacity and load calculations.
• Support resilience, redundancy and power-capacity planning.
• Review electrical standards and maintenance strategies.
• Support upgrades and infrastructure expansion.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and investigations.
• Coordinate with operations and project teams across sites.
• Assist commissioning and integrated systems testing.
