Spinnaker in London is seeking an experienced crewing leader to oversee a bulk fleet of roughly 30 vessels, with potential expansion. You will head a geographically dispersed crewing team, shaping the strategy, development and performance across crew planning, development, compliance and cost control.

You will collaborate with Manning Offices, Masters and Chief Engineers to align regulatory requirements with commercial priorities and vessel performance while maintaining crew welfare and safe

Qualifications

• Substantial operational crewing experience and a proven track record managing people at a comparable level.
• Understanding fleet operations and international team dynamics.
• Experience balancing safe manning, crew welfare, vessel requirements and commercial priorities.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a remote, international crewing team with clear priorities and standards.
• Oversee crew planning, recruitment and deployment across the bulk fleet.
• Develop a sustainable crew pool and succession plans for senior onboard ranks.
• Collaborate with Manning Offices, Masters and Chief Engineers to identify capability gaps and drive retention.
• Ensure manning decisions meet regulatory and charterer requirements including RightShip and DBMS expectations.
• Monitor crew performance, welfare, qualifications and certification, and address risks promptly.
• Use data on crew, retention and cost to guide fleet management decisions.
• Lead changes to crewing systems and processes as the fleet expands.
• Support incident response and participate in out-of-hours arrangements when required.
