Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Credit Risk Oversight Manager to join our growing lending governance team. You will provide independent assurance across the lifecycle of our borrowing products, challenging risk decisions with data-driven insights, and collaborating across stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with scorecards, NPVs, and modern BI tools, plus a passion for compliant, customer-friendly credit strategies within the UK market.

Qualifications

• Strong background in credit risk management within consumer or small business lending.
• Proven analytical skills to interrogate data and identify trends.
• Hands-on experience with credit risk scorecards and NPV models.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight of credit risk and monitor portfolio performance.
• Partner with first line to support credit strategy changes and product launches.
• Deliver data-driven insights and counter-proposals for management decisions.
• Lead second line assurance on thematic reviews.
• Collaborate with model validation and development teams to understand credit models.
• Contribute to stress testing and forecasting.
• Maintain the Credit Risk Framework and embed it in business.
• Promote a risk-aware culture across Monzo.
