Monzo is seeking a Credit Risk Oversight Manager to join our growing Lending risk team. You will provide independent assurance across the credit lifecycle, analyze performance, and challenge risk decisions with data-driven insights.

You will partner with first line teams on strategy changes and new product pilots, ensuring adherence to risk appetite while enabling growth. A strong background in consumer or small business lending and SQL proficiency are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Proven analytical skills to interrogate data and monitor credit risk performance.
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders and challenging decisions respectfully.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex issues clearly to non-experts.
• Background in consumer or small business lending credit risk and scorecards/NPV models.
• Passion for technology and AI tools to improve risk management; SQL required.

Aufgaben

• Provide ongoing oversight of credit risk across lending products and life-cycle.
• Develop and enhance monitoring metrics; contribute to relevant Monzo committees.
• Collaborate with 1st line teams during product launches and pilots; influence risk appetite.
• Deliver data-driven insights, counter-proposals, and action plans for management decisions.
• Lead second line assurance on thematic reviews; engage model validation & development teams.
