Job summary

Fabric Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our growing finance team in England. The role focuses on managing cash flow, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting cross-department collaboration to drive timely payments.

You will own the end-to-end credit control process, resolve queries promptly, and monitor credit risk while supporting junior colleagues. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Credit Control
• CICM qualification desirable or working towards it
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and achieve collection targets
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills

Responsibilities

• Manage own customer ledger and ensure invoices are collected within terms
• Resolve customer queries promptly to minimise delays
• Maintain accurate customer accounts including reconciliations and credit notes
• Monitor credit risk via credit checks and managing credit limits

Description of the role:

• Manage your own customer ledger, ensuring invoices are collected within agreed payment terms.
• Resolve customer queries promptly to minimise payment delays and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts, including reconciliations, payment allocations and credit notes.
• Monitor customer credit risk by carrying out credit checks, managing credit limits and resolving credit holds.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams to support effective cash collection.
• Support junior team members where appropriate and take ownership of the end-to-end credit control process.

About you:

• Minimum 3 years' Credit Control experience
• CICM qualification or currently working towards one (Desirable)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines and achieve collection targets
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships
