Job description

My client is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join their dynamic finance team during an exciting period of transformation. This role has the opportunity to develop into a leadership role over time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional who wants to take ownership of the credit control function, drive process improvements, and play a key role in automation initiatives within a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overdue accounts, handling escalations and resolving complex client and stakeholder queries.
  • Oversee daily cash allocations and ensure all unallocated payments are processed accurately.
  • Produce insightful management reports and support month‑end close activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements while supporting wider finance transformation initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted point of contact for finance-related matters.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in credit control, ideally within a high-volume or property finance environment, strong Excel skills with experience using finance or CRM systems, excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership abilities, and be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
