Job summary

Lloyd Barnes Recruitment is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a well-established Exeter-based finance team. You will own a portfolio of accounts, manage balances and support cash flow on a full-time permanent basis.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will resolve queries promptly, build strong client relationships and contribute to process improvements within credit control. The role offers stability and opportunities to develop commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Credit Control or a similar finance position
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Manage outstanding balances and drive timely payment collection
• Monitor aged debt and proactively follow up overdue accounts
• Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

• Maintain accurate records, account notes and credit control information
• Support cash allocation, reconciliations and collection reporting

Credit Controller
Exeter, Devon
£30,000 - £34,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Credit Controller, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of accounts, managing outstanding balances, supporting cash flow and resolving queries promptly. Working closely with senior stakeholders and clients, you’ll play an important role in achieving positive collection outcomes while contributing to the continued improvement of the credit control function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who is commercially aware, confident managing challenging conversations and enjoys building positive relationships within a collaborative team.

The responsibilities:
