Are you ready to take the lead in managing credit and building strong customer relationships? If you're someone who loves getting stuck into the detail and making sure everything adds up, this could be the perfect next step for you.

What you’ll be doing:
You'll join a close-knit finance team of 8 in Grantham, where your work will really make an impact. You’ll take ownership of the credit control process — managing customer accounts, chasing overdue payments, and keeping everything running smoothly to support the wider business.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through credit checks and analysis

Setting and reviewing customer credit limits based on risk

Monitoring aged debt and acting quickly on overdue payments

Communicating with customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding invoices

Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to sort out any queries

Preparing clear reports for management including aged debt, credit risk, and forecasts

Posting cash, updating customer accounts, and staying on top of daily invoicing

Carrying out due diligence when setting up new accounts

Reviewing credit insurance limits and using tools like Experian and Dynamics

Constantly looking for ways to improve processes and reduce credit risk

What you’ll bring:
You’ll already have some solid experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role, and you’ll thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment where accuracy and organisation are key. You’re proactive, good with people, and confident chasing payments while maintaining great relationships.

Ideally, you'll also have:

Strong Excel skills (think pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar system

Familiarity with credit insurers and invoice finance processes

A knack for balancing risk with commercial awareness
