Senior Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor - Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Manchester. You will manage costs, ensure project profitability, and deliver value to our clients.

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and budgets for complex construction projects
• Conduct cost analysis and provide forecasts throughout project lifecycles
• Prepare and analyze bills of quantities, tender documents, and contracts
• Manage procurement, including vendor selection and negotiation
• Perform value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality
• Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders for cost-effective delivery
• Advise on contractual and commercial matters
• Implement and maintain cost control systems
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to department growth

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• MRICS qualification or actively working towards it
• Proven experience managing costs for large-scale construction projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Experience in contract administration and negotiation
