Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Manchester is seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for complex construction projects within our real estate and infrastructure practice. You will integrate with project teams to ensure robust cost control and profitable delivery.

As a senior team member you will develop cost plans, oversee procurement, monitor financial performance and forecast costs, while mentoring junior staff and driving value engineering across programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with MRICS qualification preferred or in progress.
• Strong cost management experience within consultancy environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and budgets for complex construction projects.
• Prepare and analyse bills of quantities, tenders and contract documents.
• Monitor project financial performance and forecast costs throughout lifecycles.
• Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters to internal teams and clients.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to departmental growth.
