Job summary

Senior Cost Engineer at Nuclearinst will own cost and forecasting management for a defined Programme/Area, ensuring accurate spend analyses and plans align with CBS/WBS standards. You’ll work with IPC/PCM teams and Tier 1 contractors to validate data and drive informed decisions.

You will lead cost/forecasting coaching, deliver high-quality reporting, and support scenario planning, risk reviews, and Board updates in a regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering, or related field.
• Cost and Forecasting specific qualifications or equivalent.
• Over ten years in a senior cost/forecasting role within a complex, regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Cost and Forecasting management for the Programme/Area, communicating with stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecasting in line with CBS/WBS structures.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure data integrity in EcoSys, SAP and Power BI dashboards.
• Support programme Directors with issue reviews, scenario planning and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Lead training on Cost and Forecasting tools for teams and junior members.
• Ensure timely delivery of cost/forecasting reports with insightful commentary.
