Job summary

VSL International, part of Bouygues Construction, is seeking a Senior Cost Controller / Finance Manager to join its UK team at Becket House, London. You will oversee financial management, cost control and reporting across the UK project portfolio.

This central finance role requires extensive SAP capability, strong budgeting and forecasting, and the ability to partner with Project Directors, Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors to improve profitability across major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
• Approximately 8–10 years' experience in project finance, financial management or cost control within construction, civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Experience within Bouygues Group or comparable major construction/infrastructure organisation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost control and financial management across UK project portfolio, ensuring consistent practices and reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting across multiple projects.
• Develop, consolidate and maintain cost-to-complete (EAC), cash flow and budget forecasts.
• Monitor actual expenditure against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and risks.
• Ensure robust financial governance and internal controls; support project teams in improving cost visibility and profitability.
