Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to lead cost management on major highway and aviation programmes in the UK. You will work across sites 2–3 days per week, mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality commercial outcomes.

Based in our Mobility Commercial Management team, you will collaborate with clients and contractors, manage multiple workstreams, and apply strong professional judgement to support successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of cost management experience across rail, highway, aviation or infrastructure.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts including compensation events.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities for junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management activities across schemes from inception to completion.
• Prepare and present cost plans, budgets, estimates, and financial reports.
• Analyse complex data to identify risks, opportunities, and trends.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver value.
• Coach junior staff and ensure governance and assurance compliance.
