Job summary

Arcadis in Blyth seeks a Senior Cost Consultant to lead post-contract commercial management for a major hyperscale data centre programme. You will drive GMP development, contract administration, change control, valuations and final accounts while coordinating with site teams and client stakeholders.

The role requires strong experience in data centre or similarly complex projects, FIDIC familiarity, and a collaborative approach to delivering cost performance within budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost and commercial management on complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong post-contract experience including change control, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Experience supporting delivery across major work packages on large, technically complex projects.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.
• Experience with data centre, industrial, mission-critical projects.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Director in the commercial management of major capital work packages from procurement through to final account.
• Support and, where appropriate, lead the development, negotiation and conversion of GMP packages into agreed contract sums.
• Support the commercial management of key packages including MEP, enabling works, civils, piling, structures, steel, architectural and CSA.
• Contribute to final accounts with contractors and supply chain partners.
• Prepare and review valuations, payment recommendations and change control.
• Input into cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and executive dashboards.
• Review tender analysis and main contractor reports.
• Work within financial systems to monitor cost performance and variances.
