Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior MEP Cost Consultant for our data centre programme in Newcastle. You will lead post-contract commercial management across major capital works, including GMP development, change control, valuations and final accounts, in a site-based role with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The role requires strong cost analytics, FIDIC familiarity, and experience mentoring junior colleagues within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost and commercial management on complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong post-contract experience including change control, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Director in the commercial management of major capital work packages from procurement through to final account.
• Lead development, negotiation and conversion of GMP packages into agreed contract sums.
• Support commercial management of key work packages (MEP, enabling works, civils, piling, structures, steel, architectural and CSA).
• Contribute to the agreement and closure of final accounts with contractors and supply chain partners.
• Administer contracts, including FIDIC-based processes and commercial governance; prepare valuations, payments and change control.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and executive dashboards; review tender analysis and contractor reports.
