Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment seeks a Senior Controls Engineer in the East Midlands region to lead control software development for bespoke automation systems. You will design, code, test and commission PLC and HMI solutions for a range of industrial machinery projects.

Based near Leicester, the role requires travel to customer sites across the UK and delivery of electrical documentation, circuit diagrams and safety systems that comply with European standards.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' software design and PLC coding experience.
• Experience with Omron, Siemens and Allen-Bradley equipment is advantageous.
• Electrical design for machine automation using ePlan.
• Knowledge of European and international safety standards for machinery.

Responsibilities

• Write and develop PLC/HMI software for automation projects.
• Design electrical systems and create detailed circuit diagrams and BOMs.
• Ensure safety systems comply with applicable CE and safety standards.
