Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement PLC and HMI software for bespoke automation projects in the East Midlands, with travel to customer sites across the UK.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years' experience in software design and PLC coding, strong electrical design skills, and familiarity with Omron, Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems. A degree in electrical engineering is preferred, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in software design and PLC coding.
• Experience with Omron, Siemens and Allen Bradley equipment is advantageous.
• Electrical design for machine automation and safety systems.
• Experience delivering control systems compliant with machinery directives.

Responsibilities

• Write and develop software, PLC & HMI coding for automation projects.
• Lead electrical design and creation of machine control system solutions.
• Deliver control and safety systems complying with machinery directives.
• Create electrical documentation including circuit diagrams and BOMs.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers; travel to UK sites as needed.
