Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd is seeking a Controls Engineer for a rapidly growing Shropshire-based systems integrator. You will design software for PLC, HMI, SCADA and drive systems, and craft electrical/controls concepts including safety specifications.

The role is hybrid with three office days per week and occasional site work (2–3 weeks at project end). Clear career progression and exposure to new technologies await.

Qualifications

• Experience designing controls for PLC/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and functional safety concepts.
• Ability to work within hybrid office/home arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Software design for PLC, HMI, SCADA, robots or VSDs.
• Electrical/controls concept design and safety specifications.
• Conduct FATs and SATs.
• Limited site work, with main time in office/home.
