Job summary

SABIC invites applications for an Engineer, Control & Automation at Teesside facilities. The role focuses on delivering control engineering expertise for safety, reliability, and efficiency improvements across Wilton and North Tees sites.

Responsibilities include leading control strategy development, implementing automation security, and running Advanced Process Control schemes and MES systems, with collaboration across the OT/I&E teams.

Qualifications

Degree in Process Engineering / Instrumentation / Control Engineering or equivalent; or trade qualification with significant experience in Process Control.

Responsibilities

Provide control engineering expertise to Operations teams across the Wilton Site and North Tees Site.
Lead development and implementation of control strategies to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
Implement Automation Security protocols across industrial automation systems (PLC, SIS, DCS).
Run Advanced Process Control schemes and MES systems.
Support Operations with troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Analyze plant data to drive short- and long-term plant improvements.
Custodian of process control know-how for System 18 LDPE process; develop models for scenario and business case development.
Collaborate with DCS systems engineer, I/E engineer, OT infra team and other site Control Engineers.
Lead reliability investigations for process-themed issues.
Manage the PES Change Control database.
Engage with internal/external knowledge networks to deploy best practices.
