Job summary

Travail Employment Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler for immediate start in Corby, Northamptonshire. The role involves reading schematics, wiring panels, and assembling components to tight tolerances, with a 07:30–16:30 (Mon-Thu) and 07:30–13:30 (Fri) schedule. Right to work in the UK and Corby residency are required.

You will use hand and power tools to build control panels and assemble elements for conveyor machinery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualifications.
• Experience as Control Panel Builder or Electrical Technician.
• Industrial electrical experience required (not residential).
• Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Experience wiring/control panels with multiple cables.
• Quality inspections and adherence to tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components into finished products from schematics and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to meet production and quality targets.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
• Build control panels containing 5 to 100 cables.
• Wire and assemble intricate systems within conveyor machinery.
• Ensure work meets safety, compliance, and customer specifications.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and adhere to H&S regulations.

Electrical Assembler - Temporary Immediate start available

Corby - Northamptonshire UK

£14 per hour

Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

We are looking for a skilled electrical assembler to join our clients engineering team. Due to the nature of this position, candidates are required to be resident in the Corby or local area with Right to Work Documentation in place as this is a role with an immediate start.

The Role

• Assemble small components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and terminal blocks into finished products reading from schematic and blueprints.
• Use hand tools and power tools and precise manual skills to meet production and quality targets.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Building control panels which can contain anything from 5 to 100 cables.
• Wiring an assembling intricate systems within conveyor machinery
• Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and customer specification requirements.
• Housekeeping of workshop area, ensuring all H&S regulations are always adhered to

Experience and Skills

• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.).
• Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
• Have previously worked within an electrical engineering role (industrial electrics not residential)
• Have manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematic and blueprints
• Confident with panel wiring, cable routing, and component layout.
• Quality inspections, spotting visual defects, measuring to exact tolerances, and catching failed units..
• Repetitive concentration, the capacity to work quickly and accurately on repetitive tasks without losing focus.
• Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude to workload and comfortable working to schedules with a passion to produce high quality products.
