Job summary

KineticPlc in Barnsley, England, is seeking an enthusiastic, hands on Control & Automation Systems Design Engineer to join a small, collaborative team designing and manufacturing bespoke automation and control systems for customers across FMCG, food & beverage, packaging, filling and wider process based industries. Qualifications

• Strong electrical/control systems background with hands-on design experience.
• Electrical or Controls qualification from apprenticeship to degree.
• Minimum 8 years industrial experience in control panel/system design.
• PLC & HMI programming experience and CAD proficiency.
• Ability to design safety circuits and set up servo motors, drives, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of designing electrical control panels and automation systems.
• Create high quality technical documentation and BOMs.
• Design schematics using CAD tools and specify components.
• Write and test PLC and HMI programs; ensure safety compliance.
• Provide technical support, site surveys, and commissioning assistance.
