Job summary

J3A Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Digital Infrastructure division on a Leicester-based role with travel to project sites. You will oversee contractual, commercial and operational performance across telecoms, EV infrastructure, civils and building works.

This role requires leadership, strong negotiation and a solid understanding of NEC contracts, with responsibility for client relationships, reporting to senior leadership and driving safe, compliant project

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within telecoms, digital infrastructure, EV infrastructure or civil engineering.
• Experience managing multiple projects, contracts or frameworks simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of cabling, ducting and data network installations.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and other standard forms of contract.
• Strong commercial awareness including variations, claims, risk and financial reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to lead and support multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects and contracts across telecoms, EV infrastructure, civils and building works.
• Manage contractual obligations from initial review and negotiation through to project completion.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, company procedures and legislation.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, project managers and delivery teams.
• Monitor programme performance, financial results, variations and contractual claims.
• Maintain documentation and commercial records.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Provide contractual guidance to project teams.
• Report to senior leadership on performance, risks and financial position.
• Support tendering, bids and framework agreements.
• Embed health and safety in project delivery.
• Improve contract management processes.
• Handle confidential information appropriately.
