J3A Recruitment is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the Digital Infrastructure portfolio across telecoms, EV, civils and building works from our Leicester base with travel to project sites.

You will manage contractual, commercial and operational performance on multiple projects, ensuring safety, compliance and client satisfaction. The role demands strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management, with close reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in telecoms, digital infra, EV infra or civils.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or contracts simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of cabling, ducting and data networks.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and standard forms.
  • Strong commercial awareness: variations, claims, risk, financial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

Contracts Manager – Digital Infrastructure

Location: Leicester, with travel across project sites

Salary: Up to £75,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Digital Infrastructure division of a leading UK principal contractor.

You will oversee a varied portfolio of projects across telecoms, EV infrastructure, civil engineering and associated building works. The position carries responsibility for the contractual, commercial and operational performance of multiple projects and frameworks, ensuring they are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with client expectations.

This would suit an established Contracts Manager with strong leadership and contractual knowledge who is comfortable managing several projects, building client relationships and reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple projects and contracts across telecoms, EV infrastructure, civils and building works.
  • Manage contractual obligations from initial review and negotiation through to project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with clients, stakeholders, project managers and delivery teams.
  • Monitor programme performance, financial results, variations and contractual claims.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and commercial records.
  • Identify contractual and project delivery risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Provide clear contractual advice to project and operational teams.
  • Report to senior leadership on performance, risks, opportunities and financial position.
  • Support the preparation of tenders, bids and framework agreements.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are embedded throughout project delivery.
  • Support the continued improvement of contract management processes.
  • Manage confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.
About you

The successful Contracts Manager will ideally possess:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within telecoms, digital infrastructure, EV infrastructure or civil engineering.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, contracts or frameworks simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of cabling, ducting and data network installations.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and other standard forms of contract.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including variations, claims, risk and financial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to lead and support multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and relevant contract management systems.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • SMSTS or an equivalent health and safety qualification.
