Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for drylining and interiors in Northampton. You will lead multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating site teams, programmes, budgets and safety to deliver on time and within budget.

The role covers residential, extra-care, student accommodation and commercial sectors, with a competitive salary and benefits including a company car or car allowance and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager in construction.
• Strong drylining and interiors background.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in residential, extra-care, student accommodation or commercial projects is advantageous.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Construction qualifications desirable; substantial industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple drylining and interior projects from planning to handover.
• Oversee day-to-day contract delivery within time and budget.
• Coordinate site managers, supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Develop and monitor project programmes with milestones.
• Manage project budgets, costs and commercial performance with the commercial team.
• Monitor progress, risks and opportunities, implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement of materials, labour, plant and subcontract packages.
• Maintain relationships with clients, main contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Attend client meetings, site progress meetings and contract reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies.
