Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple commercial drylining contracts across the South Coast, South Wales and wider South West. You will manage project performance, control costs and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

The role requires extensive drylining experience, leadership, and the ability to coordinate site teams and stakeholders across regions. UK travel will be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in a specialist subcontractor environment is essential.
• Strong ability to manage multiple contracts and teams.
• Excellent understanding of drylining systems and construction programmes.
• Proven track record in cost control and contract profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial drylining contracts across the South Coast, South Wales and South West.
• Manage project performance, ensuring delivery safely, on programme and within budget.
• Monitor project costs, valuations, variations and overall profitability.
• Lead and support Site Managers and project teams, maintaining high delivery standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with main contractors, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate labour, materials and resources for efficient delivery.
• Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain performance.
• Monitor health and safety, contractual compliance and reporting across the portfolio.

Position: Contracts Manager
Location: South West England
Salary: 70,000- 75,000 plus car allowance

Bennett & Game are representing a leading specialist drylining contractor who are seeking a Contracts Manager to join their growing team.
The company delivers commercial drylining, plastering, suspended ceilings and associated interior systems across a range of construction projects. With an established presence in the sector and a strong pipeline of work, the business operates across the South Coast, South Wales and the wider South West.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong commercial drylining background to take responsibility for regional operations, oversee project delivery and support the continued success of an established specialist contractor.

Contracts Manager Position Overview

Contracts Manager Position Requirements

• Extensive experience within commercial drylining, ideally with a specialist subcontractor.
• Proven experience in a Contracts Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior construction role.
• Strong commercial management capabilities, including cost control, valuations, variations and profitability.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing site-based teams.
• Excellent understanding of drylining systems, specifications and construction programmes.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West, South Coast and South Wales.
