Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee multi-site civil engineering and water infrastructure portfolios across Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. You will drive operational delivery, financial performance, safety leadership, and strategic client relationships in a regulated water environment.

You will manage senior operational staff, lead bid and pre-commencement activity, and ensure NEC contract compliance with CDM regulations.

Qualifications

Experience as Contracts Manager or Operations Leader with multi-site civil engineering & water infrastructure in regulated environments.
NEC contract knowledge including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
SMSTS and CSCS credentials.
Strong programming skills using MS Project or Primavera P6 and tender pre-qualification processes.
Experience across multi-site frameworks with commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

Oversee multi-project civil engineering and water infrastructure portfolios across Manchester, Merseyside, and Cheshire.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workforce development.
Manage project financial performance: CVRs, risk registers, and monthly commercial forecasts.
Drive health, safety, environmental and quality compliance; conduct Senior Management Inspections across active sites.
Chair client progress meetings, manage third-party stakeholders, and oversee pre-commencement and tender handover processes.
