Zusammenfassung

Sweco, a leading design, engineering and environmental consultancy, seeks a Contract Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Infrastructure & Environment Division. The role supports pre- and post-contract commercial requirements, reporting to the Commercial Director across UK projects.

The position offers flexible hybrid working with a minimum of three days in the office, travel once a month, and opportunities to lead commercial strategies on major programmes.

Qualifikationen

• Several years’ experience in a similar commercial/contracts management role.
• Experience in highways or energy sectors preferable but not essential.
• Degree in commercial management, quantity surveying, business, supply chain management or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of forms of contracts within engineering/construction sectors.
• Detailed knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4, especially change, payment and programme.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor style to audience.

Aufgaben

• Contract Administration: ensure engagement with clients and supply chain per contract terms.
• Contractor/Subcontract Governance: manage supply chain with escalation routes to resolve issues.
• Business Winning: provide governance guidance and lead contract negotiations.
• Commercial lead on key projects and frameworks.
• Lead or support change, risk, payment and programme management.
• Auditing: conduct commercial audits and report findings to the Department Manager.
• Financial Control & Reporting: analyze project cashflow, costs and profitability.
• Procurement: respond to procurement requests and let contracts per programme.
• Deliver training to colleagues on commercial topics and produce guidance notes.
• Develop Sweco processes to maximise efficiency.
