Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company invites applications for a Senior Contract Development Manager to lead contract development across multiple low-carbon energy schemes. You will drive Heads of Terms through to full contract design, shaping risk allocation, payment mechanics and revenue adjustments.

You will work with government counterparts and external advisers to ensure commercial architecture is investable and bankable, delivering robust contracts aligned with policy aims and operational

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a commercial advisory/contract management role within energy, infrastructure or public sector.
• Experience leading Heads of Terms development and full contract design processes.
• A STEM degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own defined contract development workstreams across schemes, from Heads of Terms to full contract design.
• Oversee design testing of payment structures and risk-sharing arrangements.
• Direct engagement with government counterparts to shape contractual positions.
• Manage external advisers and ensure outputs align with commercial analysis.
• Maintain risk framework and escalation for material issues across schemes.
• Lead handovers to operational teams and governance reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial development processes.
