Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company is seeking a Contract Development Manager in Leeds to own contract development workstreams from Heads of Terms through full design. You will shape commercial architecture across risk, payment mechanics and change‑in‑law provisions, coordinating with government advisers and internal teams to deliver investable, bankable contracts.

• Experience in a commercial, advisory or contract management role.
• Understanding of payment mechanics and contract structures.
• Strong analytical skills for scenario modelling and risk assessment.
• Excellent written communication and reporting abilities.
• Commercially minded with ability to balance stakeholder needs and outcomes.
• Desirable exposure to energy schemes or regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own defined contract development workstreams from Heads of Terms to full contract design, covering risk allocation and revenue mechanics.
• Develop and defend LCCC's commercial positions to inform government drafting and approvals.
• Design, test and validate payment structures and contractual mechanics for assigned schemes.
• Manage interface between contract development and implementation, ensuring smooth handovers and governance.
• Maintain governance records, risk logs and clear traceability of commercial decisions.
• Engage with government departments and external advisers to support scheme delivery.
