Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Consultant for Future Energy Networks to lead and deliver high-quality consulting projects for energy sector clients, including network planning, flexibility, and decarbonisation initiatives.

You will work with engineers, economists, policy specialists, and strategists to transform energy systems, engage directly with clients, and contribute to knowledge sharing and business development within the Energy Advisory practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science, economics, policy, or related discipline.
• Chartered status or progress toward professional accreditation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting projects and defined workstreams with increasing responsibility for planning and outcomes.
• Take ownership of high-quality outputs, ensuring technical accuracy and clear communication.
• Apply experience to network planning, connections, flexibility, and energy-system topics.
• Develop analytical approaches, work plans, and recommendations for client needs.
• Engage with clients, present findings, and build trusted relationships.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and mentor colleagues where possible.
• Contribute to business cases, regulatory submissions, market assessments, and energy strategies.
