Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Consultant for Future Energy Networks within the UK and Ireland. You will deliver and lead consulting projects helping network operators, utilities and energy clients plan, transform and future-proof energy systems.

You will work with engineers, economists and policy specialists to deliver high-quality outputs across market, regulatory and decarbonisation workstreams. Hybrid working options are available in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering, scientific, technical, economic, policy or related discipline.
• Chartered status or progression towards accreditation desirable.
• Experience in consulting, energy or utilities sectors is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting projects and workstreams with increasing responsibility.
• Ensure high-quality outputs: technical accuracy, clear communication and timely delivery.
• Apply experience to network planning, connections, flexibility, transformation and innovation.
• Develop analytical approaches, work plans and client-ready recommendations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting findings clearly.
• Mentor or support colleagues and contribute to capability development.
