Requirements

This role will provide sustainability services for a broad range of public and private sector clients. It is a diverse role with many opportunities to support clients on their sustainability journey. The role will support the growth and delivery of the LII ESG Accreditations Team with a diverse workload including:

  1. Undertaking sustainability assessments for different accreditation schemes (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, etc.), including:
  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of project assessments.
  • Chairing meetings with clients and design teams.
  • Ensuring the collection and review of necessary information/evidence for assessments.
  • Preparing reports for submission to authorising bodies (e.g., BRE, USGBC).
  • Advising on anticipated scores and providing regular updates to project teams.
  • Producing and updating monthly tracking schedules.
  • Undertaking Environmental/Sustainability Gap Analyses.
  • Supporting technical studies such as sustainability and resilience EIA chapters and sustainable master planning.
  • Producing Sustainability Strategies, statements, and policies.
  • Providing delivery support to the Accreditations Team and wider Arcadis teams when required.
  • Assisting with the development of sustainability thought leadership within Arcadis and with clients.
  • Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

    • Good understanding of technical and commercial aspects related to sustainability assessments and accreditation schemes.
    • Relevant working experience.
    • Training and qualification in schemes like BREEAM.
    • Experience in successfully delivering accreditation projects from start to finish.
    • Strong technical and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
    • Experience in thought leadership.
    • Knowledge of wider sustainability, carbon, and climate change issues.
    • Ability to lead or assist in client presentations and bid preparations.
    • Attention to detail, strong technical report writing skills, and quick information assimilation.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

    Desired

    • Professional Memberships.
    • BREEAM AP qualification.
    • Experience with Tracker-Plus and IES TaP.
    • Experience managing complex projects and programmes is advantageous.
