Your new company, a specialist MGA based in the heart of the City, specializes in Professional Indemnity, Property, Commercial Risks, and Directors & Officers. They pride themselves on innovative insurance solutions and offer services to a global panel of strategic brokers. After several years of positive performance, this company is now looking to add a Construction Underwriter to their team.

Your new role

The primary focus of the role will be writing profitable construction business. The role is broker-facing, so expect engagement with their existing strong panel, but existing relationships you bring will also be beneficial.

Main responsibilities will include:

1. Writing an account of Construction Direct & Facultative business
2. Liaising with brokers to maintain and build support for the product offering
3. Where necessary, liaising with capacity providers
4. Working closely with the support team to efficiently process written business and midterm queries

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 5 years experience of underwriting Construction CAR risks
• Experience of managing broker relationships
• Interpersonal skills to proactively deal with brokers
• Experience of London market property
