Position: D&O Underwriter

Our client, a new MGA part of a larger group, is seeking the right individual to launch and lead their D&O offering.

The MGA platform is backed by a team of experts whose collective knowledge covers technical, innovative, technological, and underwriting expertise. Working in partnership with global insurer and broker partners, they provide an exceptional customer experience and choice for brokers, covering a range of specialist business insurance products.

The team focuses on differentiating their solutions and delivering better value to policyholders, brokers, and insurer partners. Combining high-quality insurance coverage with technological innovation, underwriting talent, and excellent service delivery, they are well-positioned for growth.

They now require a Lead Underwriter / Head of Management Liability / D&O to manage the underwriting strategy and activities for one or multiple insured products, ensuring standards and controls are maintained. You will:

1. Play an integral role in the planning and design of the product's evolution, proactively building strong trading relationships with brokers to maximize financial results.
2. Build a reputation as a trading expert and foster confidence in the market through interactions with brokers and intermediaries, generating a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
3. Lead meetings, presentations, and tenders to secure new business opportunities.
4. Promote the product range and propositions to leverage commercial opportunities, while mentoring and coaching team members to build expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a vertical within a stable and rapidly growing MGA. The role is home-based with travel to various hub offices around the UK as needed to collaborate with the wider senior leadership team.
