Job summary

Hawk 3 in Newport is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a professional construction team on a permanent basis. You will manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will coordinate internal teams, contractors and external partners, oversee procurement, and maintain strong client relationships while adhering to health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management or related discipline.
• Experience managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience with construction contracts and contract management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, budgets and resource requirements.
• Lead the day-to-day management of multiple construction projects, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Establish and maintain project documentation including project briefs, RAID logs, delivery plans and progress reports.
• Monitor project performance, identifying risks, issues and opportunities and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance to ensure effective cost control and value for money.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors and external partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
• Manage procurement activities where required, including supplier engagement, tendering and contract management.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the client's brief and relevant professional standards.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide clear and regular updates to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, partners, contractors and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, records and reporting.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, dependencies and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards, specifications and statutory requirements.
• Promote adherence to health and safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure emerging issues or delays are identified and addressed promptly.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
